     WhiFt: White FIBROUS tissue, PLIANT & FLEXIBLE, STRONG, TOUGH, INEXTENSIBLE connecting medium. The "shorthand" used for the androtic equivalent for this ligature material required some invention, but it is "WhiFt." [Gray, p.217]
