On Pacifism

As a result of actions in Afghanistan, about November 2001, against the murderous terrorists, we have pacifist protests. Other locations have the same demonstrations.

War is hell. That is the way it ought to be so that it is not recreation, and thus avoiding the enterprise initiated lightly. However and contrary to the wants and wishes of fools, there ARE worse things than war! Tyranny is one. Terror is another thing worse than war. I believe I must add "pacifism" to tyranny and terror of most horrible things.

Let us look at the pattern of pacifism. The entire human history could be subject to investigation for a proper thesis, but an examination of some of the last century should be instructive for this scope.

Pacifism enabled Herr Hitler to build up a war machine that overran Europe. That led to needless sacrifice of the resolute British and resistance movements in those war torn countries. The strong axis powers were able to prolong the war and do much more damage before they were ultimately stopped. Therefore, pacifism brought about WWII, more misery, and a longer war.

Pacifism in America during the Vietnam conflict undermined the U.S. military (few really cared whether we were in the right, but there is a long, gory , separate story). It led to a subtle and most effective ostracism and discrimination of those veterans and even to all veterans. Even today, government agencies pass themselves out through their own used food chute to subsidize invaders and baby slavers to the detriment of veterans! How? Because the pacifists got into positions of influence. They are the ones in offices who determine who gets substance. They are the ones in personnel offices who determine who gets hired. Do I need continue with that word-picture?

What does pacifism do today? What is its effect upon prosecution of our feeble attempt to get the abominations who are responsible for September 11th atrocity? Is it merely exercising the right of free speech, even if it is the allowable stupid speech?

No. As with all American Constitutional rights, there are inherent responsibilities. The issue of shouting fire in a crowded theater is settled. There is also the concept of "fighting words." At some point, offensive or stupid speech become fighting words, such that in and of themselves is sufficient provocation. Pacifist demonstrations are fighting words.

Pacifism is more than a simple cancer sickening our united effort. It renders sympathy to the enemy, which is an aid and comfort. At one time, that was the capital crime of treason.

I love peace as much as the next person, but it peace must be on MY terms. Some have gave their all . , and I and others have paid much, am still paying, and will be paying for the rest of our existence, so I know from whence I write. Therefore by this and more, I am convinced that pacifism is treason by sedition and treason by subversion.

Is "pacifism" Christian? NO. I am convinced Satan is delighted when Christians use God's name to do evil, in direct violation of Exodus 20:7. Pacifism It is the cowardly face of evil.
