I created The Taxonomy of Androtics. Previous
searches of the web revealed a little about fictional androids,
but the results was mostly about the pinball game "Android."
Until reason to the contrary, I CLAIM TO BE THE FIRST DOCTOR OF
ANDROTICS and the first authority on android making. Therefore,
check out my new Android Making Page.
Check out the Joke Wall.
My DEAD business
*
Wrote a Membership List Manager
; some functions in continual
revision and refinement as new needs are identified.
*
Wrote a Recreation Reservation System
; a "little long in the
tooth," but still does the job ten years after
delivery. Older software in newer computers and
expanded networked environments maintain responsiveness
for the users.
*
Wrote an Ore Sample Data Manager and conversion utilities
for modeling and presentation preparation. Interest in
this system ebbs and flows. I plan a minor
modification for the next flow.
*
Wrote a well report data collection system.
About 200 North
Central Washington water well drilling reports are
captured with locations, pumping and water table
information, and of the material drilled through (crude
lithologies).
*
Wrote several data conversion utilities used in my
geoelectric computing work. Two of these, TmxZ2DEG
(TEMIX-Z 1-D models "to" Distance, Elevation, Grade
-for pseudosections) and TmxZ2XYG (likewise; TEMIX-Z
1-D models "to" X, Y, Grade -for maps), have been used
and cited in other's investigations.
*
Wrote training standards and lesson plans for formal
training in General Computer Literacy, WordPerfect use,
Data Communications, and Data Management (using
Microrim's R:Base Relational Data Base Management
System engine). (These may need updated some before
their next use.)
Ordinarily, I would not (or "should" not) refer to
"vaporware" in a list of creations, but I believe that it may be
informative or interesting to know of projects in various stages
of development. Some of you may encourage me to put a higher
priority on their favorite item. Some of my works not ready for
"prime time" are:
*
A "Geotechnical Computists Text and Reference Manual" which
is in crude manuscript form. If I only had a book like
this when I started this type of work! This covers
general computer literacy and other topics in the first
part and specific processes in the second. The
specific processes include a brief about D.C.
Resistivity, a little about a worksheet-based Jacob
type well analysis, and a lot about Time Domain
Electro-Magnetics (TDEM) from the Zonge Geophysical
Data Processing receivers. A lot more still needs to
be written.
*
Another data conversion utility (TmxZ2-3D); to convert a
site's TDEM station TEMIX-Z 1-D interpretations to an
X, Y, Z, G data format for three-dimensional gridding.
This program needs more testing, but it has prepared
some test data for a RockSolid (by Rockware, Inc.)
model.
*
Writing a lesson plan that concentrates on data base design
for an associate. It is to be product independent even
though it adds to the information presented in the data
base design chapter in the R:Base manuals.
