What has been done in the Android Making Taxonomy? Not
much, honestly. And yet, in some ways "a lot " for a lot of time
has been vested and invested. None of these works will be found
on amazon.com or in Barnes and Noble. A developing taxonomy
implies a "To Do" list.
These items are listed in approximate development or process
order:
*
My clipping collection and scrapbook is the first item on
this list. I did not know it more than 20 years ago when I
clipped an enchanting portrait from an advertisement for a
perfume. About a year ago 1998, I had it scanned for the
image (huge) file! Her beautiful face which I envied
inspired this grandiose android making taxonomy defining
avocation. There is only the one agglomeration for my
defining and development purposes and is not likely worth
the cost of duplication. I am still gathering items of
interest for development so it has that use, but a copy is
not likely to be offered as a product for sale.
All authors
and engineers have, or should have, their source files.
*
An Android Makers Encyclopedia (ame) was began to collate
and structure basic information about the Hatfield Type
Android Making Taxonomy. Unfortunately, this evolved to a
high percentage of "stubs" and limited meaning items.
However, it is still a good development tool for me as I
refer to entries in my continuing development processes.
The Android Makers Encyclopedia On-Line has been migrated
from my personal web site. It is not likely to be suitable
as a product for sale for a long time.
*
The Android Makers Handbook (AMH) was to be the "capstone
product;" as it were. Again unfortunately, the uncovered
unresolved engineering problems made this not as usable as I
would like even though I suspect the structure and concepts
are valid. This is to be the prime item; my instructions
and plans to how to build a Hatfield Type Android. It is
expected to be a long time before I can put this on the
market via this web site. On March 17, 1999, I decided to
put an extract of AMH from my source files onto this site,
at least to the point my engineering broke down. That way,
I am not giving away the store as I solicit contributions.
The On-line version:
*
A "Mind Experiment:" This is a pseudo-scientific way of
justifying writing a novel. Actually, The Android Maker
(TAM) is really an especial novel, but in writing it, that
did help me work out some (unfortunately, not all) Android
Making Taxonomy defining, engineering, and design problems. More information about The Android Maker book.
*
Another mind experiment is the Android Maker's Daughter. It
is a companion to The Android Maker and is quite congruent.
It is written to be from the android Miranda's perspective
and some parts are only very slightly modified when I copied
the portions from TAM. It has not been reviewed yet as of
February 18, 1999.
*
A third mind experiment was started a while back, but it did
not get finished ... or even very far yet. The Android's
Daughter has only the preamble in my "dead tree edition"
(draft printed). I still think the perspective of a
Hatfield Type Android actually making another HTA would be
quite informative. I do not know when I will get back to
complete this story to produce a book for sale.
These are the things I know need work in approximate
priority order. Like a "dream sheet," these are on-hold for
various reasons and somewhat sequentially dependent:
*
Continue monitoring developments for the Android Making
Taxonomy!
*
Expand my On-Line Android Makers Encyclopedia.
*
Resolve taxonomy development problems (AMH).
*
Resolve engineering problems; assuming definition problems
solved.
*
Resolve design and drafting problems; assuming solutions to
engineering problems.
*
CAD master drawings for skeletal elements; marking for
variables dependent upon android phenotype definition; given
solutions for design expressions.
*
Tune the copy of CAD master drawings for Miranda's
specifications for my personal copy of the Android Makers
Handbook.
No more known.
Want to contribute, comment, etc.? Write me! ... (Please put
"AMList" in the subject or early in the body of your message so
that I can relate your mail. I am inventing such a tree that the
topic of some mail has been vague. Sometimes I can use
"indirections to find directions out," but I am not that
skilled.)
as of June 22, 2001. ... Back to The Android Maker site's home
page , or try this attempt at a site map:
"Where ... oh where ... did that little page go? Oh where
... oh where can it be?" Sorry about that. I will not quit my
other job. :-}
TheAndroidMaker.com is getting large enough that it needs a
site map of sorts. However, I have not seen a better
implementation of such in frames or other schemas than an
outline, so it is...
